Following the corporate philosophy and Teijin Group Global Environmental Charter, we are developing the purchasing and procurement activity to promote proper transactions considering commitment to the environment and social responsibility under the purchasing and procurement basic policy.

In response to the increasing global concern about Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), the Teijin Group has been developing the conventional green purchasing activity to embrace the purchasing and procurement activity that further meets requirements of social responsibility (CSR procurement), where, in addition to the establishment of procurement guidelines, the protection of human rights, care for labor safety and health, environmental conservation, etc should also be properly required.

In Green Purchasing, we place priority on the purchase of products that are environmentally conscious. In Green Procurement, in addition to consideration for environmental management in our customers, we are developing activities with focus on the management of chemicals contained in the Teijin Group's products.

Since establishment of a good relationship with suppliers is essential in the purchasing and procurement activity, we will seek understanding and cooperation from suppliers to build a collaborative system in accordance with the basic purchasing and procurement policy through various means including questionnaire.
