Teijin Named to Dow Jones Sustainability World Index

Teijin Limited

Teijin Limited announced today that it has been named to the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI World), a global indicator for Social Responsible Investment (SRI).

The DJSI World, which was jointly developed by Dow Jones and Swiss-based SAM Group in 1999, is the first global stock index tracking the financial performance of the leading sustainability-driven companies worldwide. The index assesses the economic, environmental and social performance of 2,500 major-scale companies around the world every year to identify those that exemplify leadership in sustainability. Of the 317 companies select this year, 32 are Japanese.

Teijin has also been named to Dow Jones Sustainability Asia Pacific Index, which was established earlier this year, as well as other international SRI indexes such as FTSE4Good Index and Ethibel Sustainability Index.

The Teijin Group will continue its efforts to evolve as an organization that is worthy of society's highest expectations and esteem.
