| Teijin Mirai Studio welcomes 10,000th visitor | |

The Teijin Group announced today that Teijin Mirai Studio, a showroom presenting leading-edge technologies of the Teijin Group, welcomed its 10,000th visitor in October, just two years since the facility's establishment in November 2007.

Lightweight concept car made with Teijin materials As of the end of October, the Studio had attracted 10,024 individuals from 1,611 companies and organizations, including an increasing number of visitors from countries including China, the Netherlands, Singapore, Thailand and the United States. Foreign visitation now accounts for 15% of the showroom's total visitors.
Current exhibits at the Studio present Teijin's latest achievements in chemical, biological and next-generation technologies, focusing on the key fields of automobiles and aircraft, information and electronics, environment and energy, and healthcare. Among the many popular exhibits is an exceptionally lightweight concept car made with Teijin materials including TENAX carbon fibers, PANLITE polycarbonate resins and BIOFRONT heat-resistant bioplastics.
Located in the same building as Teijin's headquarters in Tokyo, the Studio is a catalyst for direct communication with customers and representatives of industry, government and academia, as well as the media. Guidance is available in both English and Japanese, and Chinese translation is provided in panels.
