Centering on Infocom Corporation and capitalizing on information processing technologies such as document processing, networking and system design, Teijin develops and supplies software products as well as integrated systems including the management and maintenance of such systems to government agencies, education and research institutes, medicine and healthcare-related institutes and companies, and general corporations. We also provide IT services, including Internet services and mobile contents for mobile phones to general consumers.

In the area of health care, we conduct R&D aimed at the practical application of analysis methods and diagnosis support systems that employ a linguistic approach to the digital information that is accumulated at medical institutions with the spread of electronic medical charts. In the area of intellectual interface, our ongoing development focuses on the mechanism for learning a language-understanding engine and knowledge about dialogue from information on the web, both necessary for intellectual and humane conversations with robots.
